The Home Care for Girls a non-profit organization established by a group of professionals dedicated to helping teenage girls in crises. We provide to girls in need of a temporary home a safe and caring environment where they can live, study and grow. Our home care is holistic, including counseling for the residents and their families to help rebuild up their relationships, and develop confidence to live a better future.

Social problems are worsening with increasing complexities. Cases of girls abused at home, gone astray because of family crises and problems, and other adolescent challenges are on the rise. For girls in crises or having difficulties living with their families, they will most likely end up on the streets if they have nowhere else to go.
The Home Care for Girls is a non-profit organization established by a group of professionals dedicated to helping teen age girls in crises. It provides a safe and pleasant short-term (6 – 12 months) shelter for distressed girls, age 14 – 18, at risk of domestic violence or family breakdown. Residents receive counselling in a caring homely environment to help them recover from trauma, regain self-confidence and develop their potential to overcome adolescent challenges to follow a positive direction in life.
The Home was established on August 30, 1999 in a flat in Boundary Street on loan from the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. In December 2000, the home moved to a flat in Argyle Street denoted by Dr. Chan Un Chan. In response to community needs, an ancillary home in Kwong Wah Street was added in 2005; the two homes conjoined in the same Argyle Street building in 2007. In 2011, the Argyle homes had to be vacated for redevelopment and the plan was to relocate to Mei Foo Sun Chuen in the summer. However, due to Mei Foo residents' strong rejection, the Home's plan to move into its purchased apartments had to be abandoned. It is currently providing service from a temporary site in Shatin while looking for a long term solution.
The Home Care for Girls is a registered non-profit making charity organization, financed solely by donations and receives no any government subvention. Its cause was made possible thanks to the generous financial and devotional support from individual, corporate and institutional benefactors. To help sustain the Home's services, philanthropic contributions of any amount and form will be most appreciated. [Please press here for donation details.]
